It could not exist. If it did, then there would be no hell. Because if predestination does exitst, then everyone would follow God's divine plan, and nobody could be punished for following God's decree. Otherwise God would be unjust and everything the bible says he's not (Well, at least the new testament). But the bible says there is a hell, so predestination can not exist.
But if predestination does not exist, then Jesus would know nothing of what was to happen to him.

So? What is it? Predestination, does it exist or not?

Predestination exists...the Scripture declares it.
You must follow ALL of Paul's argument to understand this issue, and even in doing that one must illumination in order to receive it.

What is man in Adam and in Christ?

Hi,
In brief Predestination is used approximately three times in the Bible. Each time it is referring to someone who is Already a Christian. What is predestined (appointed outcome) is that a Christian will Receive the Resurrection Life of Jesus. Resurrection life is predestined for the believer. Whether someone becomes a Christian or not is Not Predestined. Predestined means appointed outcome there is no appointed outcome by God for people to become Christians. Some people by their own freewill and choice will become Christians and follow God and some people by their own freewill and choice will reject Jesus. Predestination does not have a part in becoming a Christian freewill does. Once a person does choose to become a Christian by their own freewill then the Destination is Pre-Determined and the Destination that is predetermined is the same for every Christinan it is Eternity in Heaven with God.

Predestination see also Called, Eclect, Chosen, Justified
Proorizo (4309) Pro - prior, before; Horizo - horizon determine, decree, mark, establish, boundary

Verses - Rom 8:29,30 Eph 1:5,11

First use: Romans 8:29,30 For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the (Resurrection) image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called (all people are called): and whom He called,(and they answered the call) them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He glorified.

Predestination is a prior determination. For the Christian it has been predetermined that once a person becomes a Christian, the end result will be the person being conformed to the image of Jesus. This is like an artist that with foreknowledge has predetermined the subject of a painting, or a sculptor, predetermining the shape he is going to mold. Predestination is simply knowing in advance what the final destination is. The final predestined destination for the believer is to be in heaven with Jesus and to be similar to Jesus. Similar in that we can interact with Jesus.

Destination is the end of a journey, the final destination. Biblically we are only predestined to heaven once we have acknowledged God. We are not predestined to individual fates in our life. There are many factors that affect our daily life. We can make our own decisions and choices, we can let others influence us or make decisions for us. There are also Biblical factors such as we will reap what we sow. In other words, if we do Godly things we will receive Godly things, if we do evil things we will receive evil outcomes. God also maintains control providence over His creation at all times. According to Gods plan God will permit certain events and He will not permit other events.

<<<Whether someone becomes a Christian or not is Not Predestined>>>
Exactly! In other words, the concept of unconditional pre-destination of souls to heaven and hell is not supported biblically. Sadly, many people have been led to believe that whether someone will become a Christian and therefore saved is pre-destined while other would then be pre-deestined to hell.

Thanks for the post...right on the mark!

God bless,
Darin
